ACCOUNTS SECTION
The following are the activities carried out in the accounts section
Preparation of monthly, quaterly and annual reports and returns.
Custody and maintenance of the creditors, debtors, ledger and bank statements.
Monitoring and compliance of all matters relating to LATF
Preparation and monitory of budgetary compliancy
Receiving and banking of cash and cheques.
Making payments and storage of bank slips.
Preparation of emoluments for staff and councillors.
Safe custody of documents and related to salary emoluments.
Maintains Payment Vouchers and Local Purchase Order / Service Registers.
Preparation and maintenance of clearance and payments certificates.
In charge of all billings.
INTERNAL AUDIT SECTION
In charge of all council audit operation
Audit the internal control system
Carry out spot checks on markets
MARKET SECTION
In charge of revenue collection
Maintenance and upkeep of all revenue records and data
Maintains rates register
Supervision and control of all revenue collection
Advices the council of all areas of revenue
Registration of businesses, issuance of Single Business Permits, Maintenance of the Businesses Register.
Maintains and updates fees and charges
I.T SECTION
Ensure IT systems run efficiently with minimal downtime, and to provide one on one support to its users.
Long term planning for the development of the IT infrastructre, including contingency for disaster recovery.
Upgrading and maintaining systems
Web maintenance
PROCUREMENT SECTION
Maintains requisitions.
Receiving and issuing of all goods purchased.
Custody and maintenance of accountable documents relating to stores.
Maintenance of all records of absolete stores.
